This lovely A Frame home is a cozy, rustic cabin by the sea. On the ground level of this quaint beach home, there is a bedroom with a queen size bed, a bathroom, a living room with a pull-out sofa, a dining area, and kitchen. The upstairs is an open sleeping loft, with a queen size bed that looks over the main living space. This unique home has a woodburning stove, a large yard with a deck, and even a swing in the living room! The third level crow's nest is a perfect nook to nestle in with a book and watch the ocean.  There's also free WiFi, a TV with DVD player, towels and linens, a propane grill and all the essentials to make your beach getaway comfortable. This historic home in the heart of Yachats sits next to Yachats State Park with a beautiful ocean view. Once you arrive, there's no need to drive anywhere because everything is nearby. You and your guests will be just a few steps from the ocean, with both rocky and sandy beaches a short walk away. Staying at the Rock Park A-frame will give you the experience of roughing it at the beach, with the comforts of being at home.

The all-summer migration of gray whales can be viewed from Yachats State Park located adjacent to the cottages. In the evening, families gather at the park to view the sunset, watch for the elusive "Green Flash", build a bonfire on the beach, stroll the unspoiled sandy shore, and explore the glistening tide pools. The famous 804 Walking Trail begins just south of downtown Yachats and runs through Yachats State Park. Continue on the rocky shoreline another 1.5 miles, and the 804 Trail will lead you to a 7-mile-long sandy beach! The beach ends in Waldport, at the mouth of the Alsea River. It has breathtaking views and is a great walking/jogging trail, with spectacular photo opportunities, morning, noon, or evening.

Any trip to Yachats Oregon is special ... but staying at this A-frame is worth doing over and over again. It is very spacious and a great treat for all who come. Children? Who doesn't want a park to run thru and a crows nest for playing pirate? Newly weds peace and romance - totally. And for us older travelers, a snug and welcome home away from home with anything you want to imagine. My four legged fur people thought it the ultimate adventure!

We loved this house! We had a great time! We were here last year and it's even better! We will be back for sure! We loved the view!

Mike, Lori, and Grace; Spokane, WA

It was my first time here, and I hope it won't be my last!! The Oregon coastline is one of a kind and I hope everyone gets a chance to experience the joy of seeing a whale spout or the exhilaration of jumping into the ocean.

Catherine; Vancouver, B.C., Canada

So grateful for another stay at our home away from home. From tide-pooling to surfing, to light-housing, to whale-watching...can't wait to come back!

Clara; Kansas

Lovely dwelling in a magical setting. So glad my friend introduced me to Yachats living. And even happier I could share a day here with my daughter.

Marcia; Lenexa, KS

What a wonderful week! We have enjoyed exploring Yachats. The A Frame is the perfect spot for a home base! We hope to be back soon for more adventures in Yachats. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place with us! We saw baby ducks and huge whales and heard bird song in the mornings. So peaceful and restful. Perfect for my first full week of retirement! Thanks again!

Kathleen & Richard

A Frame was a little slice of heaven for us! The character of this house is perfect. It was a perfect spot to be able to walk to the beach, and whatever else we wanted to do. We will be back for sure!

Enjoyed our 6 night stay. The Oregon Coast is beautiful. Adventures every day. Tide pooling at Yaquina Head Lighthouse was a highlight, as was hiking the Amanda Trail. ATV riding in the dunes near Florence was lots of fun as well. Yachats is a friendly town as is all of Oregon.

Denton, TX

Second trip to the A Frame, this time for our honeymoon. It's just as good as we remember! Don't change a thing.

Theresa & Jonathan; Portland, OR

What a cool find! The A-Frame was a perfect spot for our family vacation! We found so many amazing places to explore right out the front door! (Farmers market was great too!) The house was well stocked & perfectly furnished. We absolutely love this place! We’re sad to leave & cannot wait to visit again! Loved having a backyard that leads to the state park & every single view from this place is beautiful! Thank you!

What a wonderful set of houses you have to rent! The a-frame was perfect! My husband enjoyed having the fireplace and my doggies loved having the big yard to run around in! Yachats is the perfect place to discover the central coast of Oregon! Loved our stay! Thank you sweet home rentals.

Amazing weather for late September with clear days and huge harvest full moon nights, bringing huge tides to devil’s churn and winds whipping our kite strings. We tried the mountain bike loop at Perpetua but a good portion is a hike with a bike, at Cummin’s Creek. We found agates at beaches south we cannot reveal. The 804 trail is a gem. So glad we found your cool A-Frame tucked against the state park for our base. It had all we needed to make a pasta with farmer’s market chanterelle mushrooms. Got a white salmon from the Luna Sea folks to grill – spectacular. Next time, will bring records and a lava lamp!!

We had a lovely time here. Our 4 year old loved exploring the nooks & crannies of this fabulous house. We had a wind & rain storm for most of our stay, but the views from inside and the cozy stove were perfect and our time here was restful. It was amazing to sleep upstairs during the storm, hearing the wind blasting about. I hope we can come back soon!

We loved staying in the A-Frame! This was our third visit to Yachats & our favorite one yet. We loved walking to the Green Salmon for a Café Mexican, grilling on the deck for dinner, getting ice cream cones at the candy store, getting breakfast at the picnic tables at Luna Sea, and the magic of seeing every sunset at the state park. Our favorite day trips were Cape Perpetua (from the very top to the curve around Devil’s Churn), the hobbit trail to the beach, the dunes and hiking to the ocean, the aquarium in Newport, and a last fun afternoon at Patterson Beach. Everyone we met in Yachats, Florence, & Waldport was so nice and our vacation was such a great one. Hoping to visit Bread & Roses on the way out of town and plan another visit soon. Thank you for everything – it was awesome.
