We had a wonderful time at this amazing home. Everything was clean and it felt like we had our own private beach a short walk away. The view from the main floor is amazing, and our kids were amazed and entertained by the movie room, instruments and games. There were also plenty of amenities, books, games, etc. We would definitely stay again.

This was our fifth visit to the Oregon coast extending back to the 1990s. I wanted to introduce our grandchildren and my sisters to a place we've enjoyed returning to. The gathering spaces were perfect for the 10 of us who stayed there--all of us had a seat at the dining room table and a place to curl up in the living room and watch the sun set. There was space in the kitchen for multiple cooks. The five bedrooms were spacious with all but one room having king beds. There was a great game room and home theatre downstairs which we didn't use since the great outdoors was just a step away. But it would be nice to have during rainy weather. The ocean was a short walk away on a paved but steep driveway. But if the walk is too steep for you there is a parking area at the end of it. If you've never been to the Oregon coast before, the beach is amazing--very wide, hardly anyone else there, you'll feel like you have the beach all to yourselves. We had a cookout on the beach one evening and it was nice to haul things down in our car because of the parking area. We did not use the hot tub but enjoyed sitting out on the deck and listening to the ocean and enjoying the sunshine. Make sure you read the information that you'll receive when you arrive. There are paper products as well as soap and dishwasher detergent provided, but not enough to last a group of 10 for a whole week. You might need to bring some paper products or purchase them once you get here. We loved our stay!

Our extended family loved this Airbnb. The main living area was great with a huge kitchen, large and comfortable living room and dining table able to seat everyone together. The views of the ocean were spectacular. We loved running and walking on the beach. The many features of the house were greatly appreciated. There was something for everyone: quiet places to read, tables on which to assemble puzzles, the game room, the movie room and cooking together in the kitchen was fun. We had a little difficulty the first day using the electronic keypad to get in the house. However, our host was very responsive and helped us through. The bathrooms and kitchen are a bit dated, but they were very clean and functional. In fact, the kitchen had every pot, pan, utensil or appliance that we needed. We would highly recommend this Airbnb if you’re staying in Newport!

Our family was very impressed with how well the home was stocked - with beach paraphernalia, games, books, linens, kitchen items... The house was plenty roomy for our group of 6 adults and 5 kids. We enjoyed the hot tub, and loved hanging out at the beach. All and all, it was a great place to stay. We would definitely stay there again.

I cannot recommend this house enough (even though it will make it harder to book in the future!). The location is perfect only being a few minutes from Newport bayfront area and the Fish Market and Grocery is just 3 minutes away if one needs anything quickly. The size of the house is perfect for a larger family (we had 5 adults and 2 kids) gathering and I loved that there was a large media room downstairs so one could enjoy the view, read a book or play games upstairs undisturbed. The two tables were nice as well so there was plenty of room to eat and have a space dedicated to games, or painting activities. The rooms were all very comfortable with 4 of them being upstairs and the larger one downstairs. The ping pong and pool tables in the heated garage area were a big hit too! It felt like a seamless part of the house and I appreciated how the house was cozy and at the same time had lots of options for people to spread out and do their own thing. The beach access road is real close too

We absolutely loved the place. The listing pictures don’t do it justice. Furnishings were very comfortable and spacious. Had lots of towels and kitchen was well appointed. The ocean view is amazing and just a short walk to the neighborhood private beach. I cannot express enough on how satisfied we are with this home.

Overall wonderful stay. sweet homes was amazing! Very helpful and communicative and seemed like if we needed anything they were a call away would definitely stay again!! Sadly we didn’t find the beach access until the very end of our stay but was very surprised at how close of a walk it was. Beautiful home and wonderful location. A perfect family getaway.

Wow - This house is perfect for a big family vacation! The common room is huge and can easily accommodate all 10 people. The kitchen is very large and so it's easy to do different things in separate areas of the kitchen. It was the most well stocked kitchen I've ever seen! Crockpots, an electric griddle, graters, wine openers, a crab pot!! And enough tableware to serve more than 12 people. And the table is huge and seated 12!! We had a wonderful time and it's a short walk to a beautiful very private beach! And there were beach chairs and beach toys! I can't rave enough about this wonderful house!

Our family get together was w a y too short, we certainly should have booked a longer stay. This home provided all the comforts and amenities of a resort. We loved the relaxing atmosphere, the homes layout for a large family with pets and the huge selection of games and books. Very impressive and am planning another get together for next year.

This house is in an amazing location: peaceful, beautiful and easy access to the beach. Lots of space to hang out and have fun inside the house too - we really enjoyed our family time there. As an added bonus we saw a pod of Gray whales playing in front of the house each morning!!

This home was exactly as described, and then some! This was the perfect place for our team to hide away and work our company’s next year. We received all kinds of weather, with the views from the windows, we were never disappointed. The only small hiccup was that we had absolutely no cell service. There is Wi-Fi, and it actually made it a much quieter week for us! We were able to easily order a cab into the city for dinner at our favorite restraint, Clearwater, on the bay front. All around this was the most enjoyable stay!

We had an amazing stay at Second Story. The place is spacious and the view is fabulous. We were 4 families staying there for 3 nights and everything was perfect, from the beautifully decorated rooms to the amazing kitchen which was never crowded. The game and movie rooms definitely provided some fun and entertainment, but the highlight was the kitchen, dining and living space. The ocean view was so beautiful and a constant back drop to our lovely weekend getaway. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband, two large teenage boys, dog and I were able to stay with my sister, her husband, two grown children, dog and my mom all in one house. It was so fun to eat together and hang out and play games and do a puzzle. The walk to the beach is really close and easy. It was nice that we could drive my 86 year old Mom down and she could sit while we walked the beach. We will stay again!

Our stay was 8 - 9 days. We hosted folks from my spouse's family the first 4-5 days and from my extended family the rest of the time. Everyone enjoyed the home. We filled the refrigerator and used the plentiful dish and glassware for the food we prepared and brought in from the great restaurants in the vicinity. The beach was wonderful when the fog moved out, but we walked a lot even with the fog. It was a welcome break after 3 years of no travel.

The house was fantastic for our large group. We were celebrating my mom's 75th birthday so there was a large age range of people in the house. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible while we were there but the house had something for everyone to do! There was a game-room downstairs that kept kids and adults busy. A large screen TV in the theater room for watching sports and movies. There was a beautiful view of the ocean with these great conversation areas all over the living/diving room. The kitchen was fully equipped for a large group. There was also plenty of seats at the dining table(s) for everyone to eat together. It is a personal pet peeve of mine when you rent a house that sleeps 14 and there is a dining table for 6. My whole family agreed we would come back to this house again anytime! If there was one downside to this house it was that the main living/kitchen area was on the second floor (hence the name Second Story). We knew that going in, but it was a little tricky for some in our group to navigate the stairs every time we left.

Highly recommend this property! Perfect for a large group and wonderful that our dog family members could be comfortable and enjoy the space as well. Parking was great, the game room and theater rooms were awesome for rainier times, and you cannot beat the beach access and million dollar view! Also, plenty of bathrooms, towels, and other amenities. We can't wait to visit again!

Amazing stay! Our party absolutely loved the home, it has a truly beautiful view and more than enough space for everyone to relax comfortable. The kitchen is large and the long dining table was a major bonus so that we could eat our meals together. The hosts had clear and helpful instructions for check-in, the stay, any amenities, and check out. We 100% would book again and really hope to be back!

Usually big houses that can cook for a lot have a horrible selection cooking/eating supplies but this house had everything even crab crackers, wine opener and pasta bowls. things most houses never have! the view was amazing and the house was spacious. comfortable beds, lots of towels, big soft puffy pillows and plenty of them. the game room was a welcome surprise with ping pong pool and foosball and the media room was awesome! parking was ample for the number of people the house holds. plenty of room for the 5 allowed vehicles. the walk to the beach is a nice stroll but the walk home is all uphill. gradual but uphill! the hot tub is small and looks old but besides needing a new cover it was crystal clean and hot! another surprising bonus in a vacation rental. if this home is any indication of how well Sweet Homes Vacation Rentals cares for their homes i would recommend them always.

This house was SO great! I don't think the pictures did it justice and I wish we could have stayed longer. The kitchen is huge, the view was amazing, the game room and theater were AWESOME. It was an easy walk to the beach and a great location. There are so many things to enjoy in this house we struggled to fit it all in. The book themed decorations were a really great touch.

Second Story in South Beach is a lovely home with tons of space! 13 of us enjoyed this home for 5 days and nights. We cooked all our meals in this well stocked kitchen! And ate at the table that seats 14. Comfortable beds. Quiet neighborhood with get access to the beach. We would definitely rent this place again!

Honestly, the photos of this property do not do it justice. Usually pictures look better than the actual property (and the photos ARE nice), but this place is absolutely gorgeous. The kitchen and bathrooms haven't been updated but honestly we didn't not care at all. The living space is PERFECT for a group. The view is out of this world. Being in the hot tub while it was drizzling outside and listening to the waves crashing was so wonderful I cannot even describe. We made several big dinners in the huge kitchen and were all able to dine together at the giant table. We played poker and other board games and there are so many adorable little places to plop and watch the sunrise or set in small groups. We all said we will definitely book again. Thank you so much for an awesome birthday getaway.

This property far exceeded our expectations. It is HUGE. The kitchen is enormous and well stocked with kitchen essentials. Plenty of towels and bedding to go around. The rooms were perfect and the basement suite suited our needs so well. My husband and I stayed in there with our three children and it was so roomy. The only thing that was a bummer was the pull out couch seemed to be broken (the head of the bed tipped down toward the floor ) so we couldn't use that. Location could not be better, and man, that view! So good. The beach was a few minute walk away and beautiful. Property management assisted with a couple needs quickly and were so kind. We will definitely be coming back -we're already talking about making this a regular destination. We stayed with 9 adults, kids ages 8,7,6,2 and an infant. It was perfect. We only have good things to say!

We need a house that would sleep 14 people that was close to the ocean. My daughter found this property and we were extremely pleased when we arrived. We especially enjoyed the spacious kitchen, kayaks, play areas for the kids. We enjoyed the hot tub and the karaoke set-up downstairs. We hated to leave but we had a great time. The property was just as wonderful as all the reviews said! The view is incredible and I especially enjoyed sitting in the hot tub listening to the ocean and looking at the stars on a clear night. We watched whales from the living room, made a nice dinner in the open concept kitchen, played games in the game room- it was all so perfect, no one wanted to leave to go anywhere. The walk to the beach was incredibly easy and quick, everyone was so happy with their comfortable beds, staff were super easy and hospitable to work with - I couldn't have asked for a better all around experience!

Loved the house, especially the view, the big kitchen and the huge table. We had 11 family members and usually have to banish the kids to a "kids' table" but here we were all able to sit together. Kids (3 of them ages 7-10) slept in the media room which also provided hours of entertainment for them during the day. Adults enjoyed the hot tub, stunning view and easy beach access. We all appreciated the WARM outdoor shower after long, sandy days at the beach. Beds were comfortable and clean. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of pots, pans, baking trays/dishes, and glasses, plates, utensils, but not with much in the way of ingredients (bring your own basics like salt, olive oil, pepper, etc).

This is a spacious home on a bluff above a beautiful sandy beach. The home was very clean on arrival. Everything was in good working order and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans. This was a great destination for our two families with kids, dogs, and friends who stopped by to visit.

My husband, son and I had a blissful stay at Second Story. The house was spotless, and decorated beautifully. I loved watching the sunset while relaxing on the hot tub on the deck, overlooking the ocean. The beds were cozy and comfortable. The private beach access offered miles of spacious beach walking in both directions. Just minutes from Nye Beach, I picked up fresh seafood and bakery treats from the wonderful assortment of shops with ease. The game room and movie room offered lots of indoor fun for kids as well. I can't wait to return!
