This lovely two story home sits on the historic Rock Park property in the heart of Yachats. Located right next to the small and lovely Yachats State Park, (which used to be called Rock Park,) this cozy little property has common grounds with an outdoor BBQ and yard furniture. You can take the short stroll down to the rocky shoreline, or just a slightly longer walk to the sandy beach in town. This home has beautiful ocean views from both living rooms (there are two!) and the dining room, and with windows open you'll enjoy the sound of the trees rustling and the waves crashing in the distance. The Rock Park House has all the basic amenities you'll need for your seaside getaway. There is free WiFi, two large HD flat screen TVs, a desk with an ocean view, and a mudroom. This home has 2 private bedrooms and 1 open bedroom; there are 2 Queen beds, 1 Full size bed and 1 Twin wall bunk.
All together the Rock Park House sleeps up to 7 people. There are 3 bathrooms, and the master bath has a Jacuzzi tub for your enjoyment. There are 3 parking spots for guests' cars at the Rock Park House, one at the home and another two in the shared Rock Park Compound parking lot.
If you have a larger party, you might also want to rent one or more of the Rock Park Cottages or the A-Frame, too. If you rent all the buildings at Rock Park (the House, the A-frame, and all the cottages) you would be able to sleep up to 34 guests in housing around the common yard space. It's a wonderful house for smaller groups, and the Rock Park property is the perfect location for larger group gatherings.
Sleeps up to 7 - 3 Bedrooms; 2 Queen beds, 1 Full size bed, 1 Twin wall bunk.
2 to 4 night minimum (seasonal and holidays).
For me it's always a pleasure to stay at Rock Park Cottages. The house is across the street from Yachats State Park and only 2 blocks from shopping and restaurants. Interesting people and dogs are constantly walking by during the day and a spectacular ocean viewing deck is just a few steps from the front door. At the same time it feels private and cozy and the upstairs is like a crow's nest away from the world. The Beach House isn't the newest place in town and probably not the most luxurious; it IS comfortable, snug and one of my favorite places to take a break from the craziness of the world. My sisters and I rented this house for a reunion in April and it was ideal. There was plenty of room for 5 people and 2 dogs to flow through comfortably and find solitude and quiet when wanted and the upstairs suite was perfect for the small family of 3 that included a teen and a dog. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and the beds were comfortable. Ron, the caretaker is wonderful and always around in case anything goes wrong or you can't figure out how to work the grill. For a quintessential Yachats experience, this is the place to stay.
My wife and I have been coming to the Oregon Coast for more than 20 years and found this house perfect for us. It is within walking distance to the ocean, grocery store, restaurants, shops, etc. You are indeed centrally located in the town of Yachats. The house is well appointed and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking and entertaining a large family gathering. Next year we plan on returning and are going to stay longer. We would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting a laid back Oregon Coast experience.
Our family reunion of 17 people (and a Vizsla) ranging from 15 months to 82 years was a grand success, thanks to this perfect spot. The accommodations were clean and well stocked, and the staff took very good care of our minimal needs. I would definitely recommend Rock Park Cottages for anyone, but they are especially well suited for large family reunions.
My reservation was for 3 nights but I didn't want to leave so I extended it for a 4th! The house is much bigger than I needed for myself and my small dog, but it was very reasonably priced and met all my requirements, so I went for it. The location is great: less than a block from a rocky tidepool area and about a 10 minute walk to sandy beaches that stretch for miles. I liked that I could walk to several good restaurants; I never used my car while I was there. Best things about the house: lots of windows, comfy seating in the living room and in the cozy upstairs family room, awesome kitchen with the best non-stick cookware I've ever used and everything else you could need, and the large Jacuzzi in the master bedroom. It's in a quiet neighborhood and very well maintained. Everything was sparkling clean, and the property managers were so accommodating when I locked myself out the first morning. I can hardly wait to go back.
